When it comes to the amount of lighting, foyer always needs more amount of light as it is the front entrance. Also, see to that you do not provide too much of bright light. That may result in producing glare, right at the entrance, and this may annoy the guests when they step in. But if you have anything really attractive in your foyer or if you have a staircase there, then it is mandatory to use a bright foyer chandelier or spot lights. If you have beautiful pictures or paintings displayed on your walls, you can showcase them with gallery styled accent lights or track lights in your foyers. Accent lighting is always an added advantage for foyer decoration.
In a small foyer maximize the light and make a tight area feel less cramped with a floor to ceiling mirror. Your foyer may be a tiny space with only a coat closet and no place to hang a mirror. So why not mirror the closet door! This will make your space appear larger. Depending on how your closet door is positioned, it may double a gorgeous view of the outdoors.
Foyer chandeliers can be used in both spacious and smaller rooms. These types of lighting fixtures are designed in such a way that a particular style may appear to enhance the space while another can create an opposite impact. Houses lacking a spacious entrance can greatly improve the look of it by hanging a foyer chandelier.
Sometimes foyers can be devoid of natural light. You guessed it! Add a mirror! It’s like having a window where there isn’t one. Thus, catching every trace of light, bringing the space to life! In any foyer there is nothing more beautiful than using a fine gilt framed mirror. Change out your old lighting fixture and replace it with a new chandelier. This will improve the rooms’ light and add charm.
