Modern Foyer / April 27, 2018 / Mathilde Fine.
Sometimes foyers can be devoid of natural light. You guessed it! Add a mirror! It’s like having a window where there isn’t one. Thus, catching every trace of light, bringing the space to life! In any foyer there is nothing more beautiful than using a fine gilt framed mirror. Change out your old lighting fixture and replace it with a new chandelier. This will improve the rooms’ light and add charm.
Choose a Theme - Sticking with a single, unifying motif in a foyer is a highly original way to introduce guests to your style from the minute they walk in the door. Since most entries are on the smaller side, they’re ideal candidates for an impactful, patterned wallpaper moment. Rely on Symmetry and Size - Use symmetry to create order in your entry with matching pairs of lamps and accessories. The perfect entry is a mini moment unto itself, and an oversize mirror is one of the quickest ways to accomplish this. Don’t be afraid to go big—you won’t be sorry.
Foyer chandeliers are both stylish and classy. It brings a significant difference to the looks of the house. Any visitor on entering the house will have an unmatched impact on seeing the elegance of these hanging fixtures. These are available in a wide range of patterns and designs. One can select any style according to the individual taste and personality. One needs to put in his complete creativity and imagination, so that the fixture reflects the décor of the interiors.
If you choose wallpaper with lots of pattern, you will have very little need for pictures or artwork. When choosing wallpaper, don’t assume that a small foyer should be papered with an equally small printed design. Some of the prettiest foyers I’ve been in, were small ones, where the paper chosen was large scale and very bold. The effect was wonderful! The entry is the perfect spot for tromp l’oeil. Possibly a mural of a Grecian urn or a large topiary.
